After much gnashing of teeth and churning of stomachs over the last few weeks and months, I’m proud to finally announce that APT Outdoors will be picking up and moving from its Chesapeake Bay area roots to the foot of the Rockies in Denver, Colorado. It was a big decision for us as a family as we were looking to relocate out of the DC area but wanted to stay with my current employer. It’s been a roller coaster ride for my wife and it’s not even close to over yet for both of us. However, by late July of this year I’ll be reporting to my new job in Denver, and spending weekends in the mountains that I’ve been longing to go back to ever since my senior year of high school.
So despite my best efforts, posts may be slowing down while we get situated house hunting and doing some area familiarization trips but rest assured that we’ll be back stronger than ever. This move doesn’t mean that we’re leaving behind the Chesapeake Bay area or the Keystone State. I still intend on taking the pups out for bird season and hunting down some PA Whitetail, but the time will definitely be managed differently than it has in the past. Change is scary, but in the case where a couple slots were open to move to our office out west, I decided to jump in head first. That’s what you need to do if you want to be an Advanced Persistent Threat.
